I had the honor of photographing Kimberly Olson for the May 2015 Family & Pet Issue for River Valley Woman Magazine.
I also have been working on a project with River Valley Woman to highlight all of the amazing places to shop and visit in the Redwood Area… make sure to take a peek.
“Redwood Area… Take it in. Entertainment, History, Scenery, Attractions, Lodging, Shopping.”
River Valley Woman magazine wants readers to “take in” the beautiful and dynamic community of Redwood Falls by featuring all the city has to offer in our April issue. The perfect day or weekend trip for shopping, socializing and sight-seeing these advertising pages will let visitors and locals alike know that the Redwood Area is a must see, must do, and must shop destination.”
To view the entire magazine visit RVW website to find a location near you or check out the RVW digital version: http://www.rivervalleywoman.com/flipbookcreator/May2015/May2015.html

Motherhood is a pretty awesome thing, and we believed it deserved to be celebrated in a major way, beyond just one Sunday in May. We had so many gorgeous mamas and their little ones for the Mother’s Day mini sessions. We had a beautiful week and good spirits all around!

Redwood truly has a hidden gem full of creativity and magic. I have been to all sorts of downtowns in Southern Minnesota and I have to say there is nothing like Lights Of Home in Redwoood Falls. Mary Hammerschmidt and Karen Hammerschmidt have to be two of the most artistic and creative people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. You know never know what treasure they are creating or what you will find inside. Redwood Falls should be so proud to have such an amazing store. I highly suggest if you have never been to Lights of Home plan a trip! You will not be disappointed. #redwoodarea #smallbusiness #localbusiness #exploremn #onlyinmn
We love getting to know our clients. It is such an awesome part of the photography process, and it is absolutely necessary if we are going to provide you with portraits that are both unique and creative.
One of the ways that we get to know our clients is through the pre-session consultation at our home studio. We will actually meet well before the photo shoot and discuss all kinds of information to make you excited and comfortable about your custom portrait session.
What will we talk about?
• Your personality, your hobbies, what makes you awesome (basically, we need to have a gab session!)
• The theme or mood that you would like to convey in your pictures
• The perfect location for your pictures
• Outfits and clothing for your shoot
• Hair and make-up tips
• How to prepare for the shoot and how to feel comfortable with the camera
• Details about any products that you might be interested in (albums, canvas, prints, etc.)
• The details of the portrait photography contract and how it protects us both.
Why you’ll love the pre-session consultation!
• You get a chance to meet your photographers, discuss your vision for the shoot, and understand how us as the photographers can make that vision come alive.
This is where you get to have your voice heard, and we will have time to talk about anything that you want to make your custom photography experience fantastic.
• You will be more comfortable and confident about the entire photography experience.
Some people have never been professional photographed- talking to your photographer about the process will help you understand and prepare for the session, maximizing your chances of having an awesome experience the first time.
Because we get to hang out and have fun, of course! 😉
P.S. Questions about the pre-session consultation or interested in a session with us? Feel free to contact us or send us an email. We have an entire digital magazine explaining our portrait process <3
